Herbal Medicine is the use of plant remedies in the treatment of illnesses and disease. It represents the oldest form of medicine known to mankind.

Despite being classified as 'alternative' or 'complementary', Herbalism is still the most widely practised medicine in the world - with over 80% of the world's population relying on herbs as their main form of treatment.

Whilst medical herbalists receive training in the same diagnostic skills as doctors, we view health and illness in a different way. Our approach is far more holistic. We recognise the importance of looking at all the patient's circumstances rather than just focusing on individual symptoms. I will seek to identify the underlying cause of a problem and attempt to address it at its most fundamental level.

As a modern herbalist I therefore combine the knowledge and wisdom gained from centuries of use of plant remedies with valuable information gained from modern scientific research. This provides a therapy which is both safe and effective.
